Eveleigh Stories launched at Australian Technology Park

Art of Multimedia is delighted to introduce Eveleigh Stories, a digital heritage interpretation experience launched at the Australian Technology Park Open Day on Saturday 12 December 2015.

Eveleigh Stories comprises a responsive website, mobile self-guided walking tour, an interactive kiosk located in Bay 1 of the Locomotive Workshop, a printed booklet and map. The website delivers a wealth of historical content, including videos, photographs, stories, publications archive, chronology and extensive research links.

Commissioned by the Australian Technology Park in response to community interest in the history of the area, Eveleigh Stories tells people’s stories in the context of the whole Eveleigh Railway Workshops precinct and the broader locality. The first stories focus on ATP as part of the former Eveleigh Railway Workshops, however the site is designed to grow by incorporating more stories from around and across the railway.

Eveleigh Stories was a creative collaboration of Australian Technology Park Sydney Limited with Art of Multimedia, AHMS, 3D Projects & NGH Environmental. This local heritage resource is hosted by UrbanGrowth NSW as part of the Central to Eveleigh Urban Transformation and Transport Program.

Visit eveleighstories.com.au to learn about the fascinating history of the Eveleigh Workshops and surrounds.

December seems to be the month to unveil successful heritage interpretation projects, as Art of Multimedia recently celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Rocks Discovery Museum which opened December 2005. Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority commissioned the 14 digital exhibits designed and developed by Art of Multimedia, which are still working as intended and engaging visitors.

December 2013 marked the launch of Finding Bennelong - a heritage interpretation website Art of Multimedia were priviledged to work on with collaborators AHMS and 3D Projects. Launched on the 200th Anniversary of the death of Woollarawarre Bennelong, this historical resource explores Bennelong's life and legacy through presenting multple perspectives in a thematically organised narrative which includes video, photographs, research and links to further historical resources.

Let’s design with meaning together.
