Murrook Culture Centre shortlisted in 2 categories of the National Trust Awards 2024
Art of Multimedia is excited to announce that our recently completed Murrook Culture Centre immersive digital interpretation experience for Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council (WLALC) was shortlisted in the Aboriginal Heritage and the Education and Interpretation categories of the National Trust Awards.
The National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards is an annual celebration of outstanding practice in the field of heritage. The standard of entries has traditionally been very high and spans conservation, protection, and interpretation of Aboriginal, built, natural and cultural heritage projects.
We are thrilled that Murrook Culture Centre and the Worimi people are recognised for their vision and self-determination in sharing their Country, Community and Culture with the broader community.
Art of Multimedia was honoured to partner with WLALC and bring our team of collaborators to design and deliver an immersive digital interpretation experience at Murrook. This bespoke digital experience provides an outstanding permanent exhibition today and a platform allowing the curator to expand the stories and experiences as the Worimi history continues.
Andrew Smith, WLALC CEO, summarized this by saying, "Our culture is living, and what is living? Living is movement, evolution, change by design, so now we can call ourselves Abodigitals instead of Aboriginals."
