Murrook's temporary exhibitions
Murrook launched its permanent, multi-award-winning exhibition in September 2023. Since then, it has hosted two temporary exhibitions: ‘UNDERWATER EARTH: out of sight, out of mind’ which ran from December 2024 to 27 February 2025 and ‘Guwayu: for all time’ is on now until 1 June 2025. See how the Underwater Earth exhibition looked in the space in the video below.
Neither exhibition was initially designed for the Murrook space, so we worked closely with the curator to adapt the touring content to suit the Centre’s digital canvases.
The infrastructure performed just as intended, allowing her to focus on curating the artworks and physical object displays. In fact, the space's flexibility extends well beyond content. The layout—including three multimedia kiosks and a large interactive touch table—is regularly reconfigured to suit specific functional and storytelling needs.
Murrook is a true multi-purpose hub that supports the Worimi LALC’s wide-ranging services. Beyond the gallery and exhibition space, the Centre also offers conferencing and events facilities, a café, cultural tourism and adventure experiences, and education programs—making it a dynamic venue for both community and visitor engagement.
