Art of Multimedia wins 2024 AVIA Award for the Best Application of AV in a Production, Exhibition, or Display
We are thrilled to announce that AOM has won the AVIA 2024 Awards award for the Best Application of AV in a Production, Exhibition, or Display for Murrook Culture Centre.
The annual awards, held at ICC Sydney on 21 August 2024 as part of the Integrate 2024 Conference and Expo, were attended by the audiovisual industry’s leaders, whose innovative, large-scale projects vyed for top recognition.
So we were delighted and frankly surprised, that the Judges awarded Art of Multimedia the Best Application of AV in a Production, Exhibition, or Display for Murrook Culture Centre.
“Judges were impressed by the way Art of Multimedia used AV technology to bring to life the stories of the Community. Importantly, they created visitor impact in a way that didn’t allow the technology to overpower the story itself.”
This marks the third time the Murrook Culture Centre has been recognised as an outstanding project and is a shining example of what our small, talented team can achieve. By combining our team’s diverse expertise, focus and passion with the Worimi team and community, we created something special.
Murrook demonstrates the cultural legacy and value created when the world's First Nations people embrace innovative digital storytelling. Nicole Chaffey, Murrook Museum Director and Curator said to the Judges
“They provided us with a digital exhibition platform that enables growth and versatility. They made it possible for a user experience that presents authentic Aboriginal narratives and stimulates positive audience engagements.”
We are grateful to the Worimi Local Aboriginal Council’s CEO and Board for entrusting us with their pivotal project and to AOM’s collaborators for giving their best on this creative endeavour.
This recognition reaffirms our commitment to innovation, meaningful interpretive storytelling, and cultural integrity. We're excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible in digital exhibitions at all scales.
