A Customer and Market Insight toolbox developed by Art of Multimedia for OneSteel is helping the organisation to transform their operation and culture.
OneSteel is a fully integrated manufacturer of over 40,000 steel and steel-finished products, servicing more than 30,000 customers and employing approximately 11,000 people worldwide.
In recent years OneSteel have been building their organisational capabilities in response to the changing external environment. This exercise supports their core value of the customer and ultimately focuses on delivering the promises of today. The Customer and Market Insight toolbox enables OneSteel to start to deliver the promises of tomorrow.
In Australia this has involved developing key people in each of its businesses with the skills to work together, toward building customer-focused value propositions.
For AOM the project has been all about maximising the potential of multimedia to implement a process of change. Long story short, we have translated a 300-page PowerPoint presentation into a lively, educational tool.
The interactive microsite created by AOM for OneSteel delivers advice and resources to key change implementers across the organisation through case studies, staff testimonials and interviews with internal advocates. The generous use of video is a powerful feature of the toolbox, injecting real conviction into content delivery.
“This site is impressive in comparison to anything that I have seen within OneSteel before,” says Mark Dabrowski, manager of Olympic Dam Expansion.
Built to use online or offline, OneSteel employees working in remote locations can access the toolbox on CD. AOM are also hosting the web-based application, to avoid putting pressure on the client’s own IT infrastructure.
