Art of Multimedia used Drupal, a versatile content management system (CMS), to build a new website for Participate Film Academy and pack it with handy features.

As Participate’s principal marketing communication tool, the site fulfils many needs. It’s the place to go to learn about the school’s unique teaching program, enrol in a course using an online or downloadable PDF form, watch trailers for movies produced by its students, hear graduate testimonials and industry endorsements, buy tickets to Participate film premieres and more.

Text and photos from Participate’s previous site were repurposed for this project. Existing video footage was re-edited to create new marketing assets including a promotional video featuring all student films to date, behind-the-scenes docos, and interviews with cast and crew members.

Photos taken on Participate film sets and at its movie screenings, plus press clippings about student and alumni news, are available in the gallery.

A share function displays links to specific video clips, and enables you to send them to others via email, Facebook, Twitter or myspace. And it integrates seamlessly with AOM’s Third Eye email communication tool, adding all new subscribers directly into Participate’s email newsletter list.

As you would expect of a film school, the site is media rich and highly visual. Prominent banners deliver the latest promotional messages. An interactive PDF Fusion brochure, available for download from the site, further extends the Participate brand.
