But wait, there's more
Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC), an agency of the NSW Department of Human Services, initially commissioned Art of Multimedia to video a two-week conference and training program for their psychologists and other mental health care practitioners.
During the consultation process we realised we could lighten the ADHC project manager’s load and help to deliver a more cohesive outcome by taking care of all their audiovisual and staging requirements as well.
AOM’s experience in events ranges from glitzy special occasions such as award ceremonies to multi-day, multi-location conferences, roadshows and launches.
That experience ensured all the little things, as well as the big things, were considered for the ADHC event: suitable lighting and backgrounds for presenters, great audio, seamless transitions between a speaker’s slides and the event branding, and a host of other details, plus enough capable and friendly staff on hand to make sure each speaker received the assistance they needed and everything ran smoothly through the entire program.
Even on a modest budget, it makes sense to dovetail event production with any recording requirements. Being able to design the lighting and stage with cameras in mind ensured AOM could optimise the audience experience as well as the quality of the content captured on video for ADHC.
And high-quality video can extend the benefits of staging such an event. In this instance, ADHC now has a wealth of material they can use to deliver further training initiatives.
“ADHC will use the filmed content – the presentations, case studies and activities included in the two-week program – as an eLearning resource for new staff,” says Frances Roberts, manager of the ADHC Statewide Behaviour Intervention Service.
“We were delighted to be able to extract the most out of the event and the budget for our existing and future staff. This has highlighted for me the importance of a thorough briefing and consultation at the start of a project.”
