DigiMacq iPhone App wins Interpretation Australia Judges Choice Award

Following on from a Silver Award in 2010 for the Rocks discovery Museum, Art of Multimedia is pleased to have another project recognised at the Interpretation Australia 2011 Excellence Awards held at the joint Museum Australia and Interpretation Australia conference in Perth last week.

Beata Kade, Art of Multimedia's managing director joined hundreds of leading Australian and international thinkers and practitioners who met At The Frontier 2011 conference to exchange best practice ideas in the field of interpretation, museology and education.

High on the agenda were strategies for engaging diverse audiences using a variety of tools. It was no surprise that mobile, video, web2 and social media were widely covered, as was the power of good storytelling.

Michelle DeSailly accepted the Award on behalf of Parramatta City Council and the project team. DigiMacq was launched through the App store July 2010 and has been receiving very positive reviews, including “A beautiful experience ... great for schools or visitors to Parramatta. Visually appealing, historically interesting and a well-crafted user experience."
